Ariel Outreach Mission was founded by Dr. Karla Jackson. Dr. Nadine Scott has supported and taken on this vision as if were her own as the Executive Director of AOM. Since 1982, AOM has served over 400,000 single women and women with children who are most at risk. Ariel also assists men, veterans, and seniors ~ anyone who is in need!

Homelessness can occur for varying reasons. Some of which includes (but is not limited to):

  • Employment loss

  • Eviction

  • Foreclosure

  • Death of a loved one

  • Job Transfer

  • Family Issues

  • Welfare Reform

  • Rent Increase

  • Low Income

  • Natural Disaster

  • Disability

  • Domestic Violence

Our Mission

To help individuals and families experiencing immediate life challenges, attain shelter/housing, safety, stability and the support needed to become self-sufficient and ultimately reach sustainability.

 

Our volunteers assist children with their homework, exercise, music, offer a safe place for kids, housing, free food, clothes, referrals to eye, dental and medical care. We also provide case management, counseling, computer training, and pre-employment training.

Other areas of services include: tutoring, mentoring, computer training, arts and crafts, life skills assistance and recreational activities, on-site skills development, cooking and nutrition, vocational guidance, job placement, internship opportunities, etiquettes, creativity, and music arts.

Our desire is to continue to provide:
One-stop social service site to individuals from all walks of life. We connect individuals with resources and tools to be independent and remain self-sufficient. We offer financial, educational, health and nutritional tools that will help maintain balance in all areas of life. Healing in order to enjoy a purposeful life. We are a Non-Profit organization based in Alameda County whose purpose is to reach out to the poverty stricken, low income, & marginalized community.  We assist those who are homeless, in need of shelter/housing, food, clothing, employment assistance, job training and job placement.
